Thanks for looking over roll lots of one of the three most beautiful coins ever struck in the United States, the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This page contains listings on Roll Lots, 20 coins each, $10.00 face value, of genuine U.S. 90% Silver Walking Liberty Half Dollars.

            The Walker is a credit to American coinage, the definitive image of Lady Liberty for the American public. This is the coin, boys and girls, that your grandparents and great-grandparents spent when they got paid by the U.S. Military or Defense Contractors in World War II. This coin, and the people who used and spent it, embodied Thomas Jefferson’s definition of Liberty and Independence, because they had a work ethic with a sense of duty and pride. Americans did not pull themselves and their Country through two world wars and a Depression by “sleeping in,” being entitled, being couch potatoes. They worked and built our Country into an economic and military powerhouse with this coin, more than any other, as the symbol of their wages. And they believed in the Lady whose image graces its obverse, and the powerful, crouched Eagle symbol on its reverse. Sure, they had the frugality of Ben Franklin, but that founding father flips in his grave to this day over supplanting Liberty on America’s most popular real-money coin.

            We are good buyers of U.S. gold and silver coins, particularly this one, in Extremely Fine or Better Condition singles, key dates, and roll quantity. The Walking Liberty half dollar’s value is tied to metal markets, but not as closely as common Franklin Halves or Kennedy Halves. Still, with metal fluctuating dramatically, mostly in an upward trend, since 2004, we cannot constantly reprice our coins, so we solicit our shoppers’ indulgence and math skills for our pricing.

$128.70 is Melt Value on $18.00 Silver for $10 Face Value US 90% Silver Coins;

$143.00 Melt on $20.00 Silver, and so on. Some of our vastly bigger competitors publish the Comex market values online on a constant basis. We are presently selling at a minimum $18.00 basis on Silver. That does not mean, for example, that we will sell a roll of Very Good Wartime Walkers for $158.00 or $7.90 apiece just any old time. If silver is pricing over $18.00, then they will be more than that.

            Please note that our shipping rates are very low, usually below our actual cost; and we discount 2% for payment with USPS Money Orders. That way we avoid charges from those foes of the American public, the credit card companies.

            Our listings below have our reference number, listing type title, representative photos, description and then pricing for each grade roll of Half Dollars.

Roll Lots of 20 Walking Liberty Half Dollars AG – Blem

            Roll in the photo is representative, and one of only a few problem Walker rolls we have pulled from the last two bag lot we acquired. Either the dates are very dim or illegible, or there is some sort of problem with the coin: a slight bend, rim mar, something like that. All of these are complete, solid coins, though. Most of them are 1941 – 1945, but there may be a few from the 1920s, 30s, or even an occasional 1917 or 1918 among these. Prices are as follows:

WWII – About Good, Good, and Blems

            Melt (.715 x Silver Spot x face / $10) + 10%

-         $141.50 on $18.00 or below Silver for roll of 20 coins, $10 face value

-         $ 157.00 on $20.00 Silver

Shipping rates are $8.00 for First Roll, USPS Priority Mail, insured. Add $1.50 per roll for add-on rolls in with the same order. We accept Mastercard and Visa on a phone- or fax-in basis. Please note that we discount 2% for payment with USPS Money Orders. Payment must be received within 5 days of offering to buy. Phoning or e-mailing us an offer to buy will not only confirm stock, but will lock in the pricing for the order.

We offer a 7 day money back return privilege. Metal market fluctuation is not a valid reason for a return; other than that, we are not difficult to get along with. The entire order must be returned, however, on coins; and we are not liable for return postage.

We will honor our usual 90 day lay-away, 20% down and balance due within 90 days. Lay aways are not refundable or exchangeable, and if the lay-away goes unpaid past the 90 day limit, there is a 6% per month service charge on the unpaid balance only. All checks, especially cashiers’ checks, held up to 8 business days for clearance.
