NRA Dealer of the Year

1993, 1995, 1997

This page contains listings on our Small Auto Pistols, such as Kel-Tec, North American Arms, and Bauer. It also contains our cheap little autos when we get them, including F.I.E.s and RGs, although they’re not as cheap as they used to be. We mean no disrespect to any company or manufacturer. We basically use this page as a miscellaneous page.

Most of our firearms are listed on

Guns America         with a few on           Auction Arms

and a few more on Gun Broker. Our most comprehensive listings, and most of our new arrivals, are on Guns America. You don't have to join to view our listings, but it's easy to enroll.

We not only sell, we buy and trade. We’re pretty strong buyers on many of the items similar to the ones on this page. While we’re not interested in black plastic guns like Glocks or PT-24 Tauruses, we’re very interested in pre-2000 manufacture bright blue, nickel, or stainless traditional firearms with wood grips or stocks. For those among our shoppers who might offer to trade with us or sell with us, please bear in mind that it costs us about $50.00 to process a firearm, from the time we receive it until it’s a finished listing on our web page or in our store.

Thanks for looking over our inventory, and for those among our shoppers who have done business with us in the past. We use NRA grading terminology and percentages of the original finish remaining on the firearm in our descriptions. While firearm grading is subjective like coin grading, we have tried to give ample closeup photos of the firearms and tried to describe any detracting features of each firearm in such a way as seller and buyer can be as clear as possible on the merchandise’s condition. We include specific citations to Fjiestad’s Blue Book of Gun Values, published annually by Krause Publications.

Format is our stock number & heading – then photos – then description and price on each item. Serial numbers are deliberately smudged.

Note that we only charge $12.00 Shipping for handguns to the lower 47 States, $20 to AK, CA & HI. Add-ons in same order only $6.00 per handgun, insured, USPS Priority Mail. $25 flat for long guns lower 47 – below our cost.

Discount schedule: 2% discount for payment with USPS Money Orders. This does not necessarily apply to items bought on other venues, such as Guns America, Gun Broker, or Auction Arms.

Kel-Tec 9mm P-11 VG Cond

DSC09734

We sold this fat little Kel-Tec P-11 new about 10 years ago. It has been carried more than it has been fired. That is usually the case with small autos like this one. Pocket contact evidence shows up in the photo. There are white streaks on the edges of the slide and on the bottom of the magazine. Wear on the frame is minimal. Bore and mechanism are excellent. There is some dark toning on the exposed outside area of the barrel at the ejection port, and a fair amount of brown but no pitting on the slide. We consider this pistol to grade about 70 percent finishwise, but photos should enable shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Magazine capacity is 10 rounds, but any Smith & Wesson 59 or 6900 type magazine will work in this pistol. Replacement price on this pistol in our area is $300 or more, but we’re offering this one                   for only                       $ 229.95

As time goes on, and as interest in formerly cheap guns continues to pique, our staff will make notes on serialization of cheap handguns, since so many of them came in new with similar number ranges. We regret missing acquisition of a substantial cache of dated invoices from RG Industries from the 1970s recently. This is, of course, a product of Excam Company from Hialeah, Florida, which existed in the Carter and Reagan Years, an offshoot competitor from Eig Cutlery or F.I.E., ancestor to the current, vibrant E.A.A. Company. We estimate that this one, with its MK prefix, was one of the later Excams from the company headed by Mr. Milton Koss that folded in the waning months of the Reagan Administration. It is in Very Good Condition, with normal wear from pocket carrying. We rate it as Good to Very Good, with some 70 percent of its finish remaining; photos, however, should enable interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, magazine, and mechanism is Excellent. Own this Targa GT27B .25 Automatic, made of US and Italian Parts, a specimen of a series famous for their backward-working safety            for only           $ 129.95

Kel-Tec .32 Auto P-32 NIB

DSC01592

image021

Here is the first and most effective pistol Kel-Tec marketed, the P-32 in .32 ACP. The 7.65 or .32 Auto Round is a much more effective penetrator than its larger .380 sibling. The .32 and .380 both go about 850 fps out of a short barrel, and the .380 only outweighs the smaller round 85 grains to 71 grains. .32 ACP will always come nearer penetrating resistant surfaces, take windshields for example. And since almost all handgun rounds are woefully anemic for real combat situations, penetration qualities are key, see the 2006 FBI report on handgun effectiveness and the myth of stopping power for handguns. While the .32 ACP is nowhere near as effective as a .22 Magnum, it is one of the next best rounds. This little Kel-Tec is only .755 thick at the back of the frame, it weighs 8 ounces empty, and it is a very simple full time double action pistol that holds 7 rounds in its factory-issued Mec-Gar brand magazine. Photo shows a brand new specimen we had in stock at press time, late summer 2008. Own one              for only           $ 239.95 – usually in stock, because few people are aware of the superiority of the .32 ACP Round over the more popular .380. Check our  Guns America listings for other Kel-Tecs.

Sauer / Hawes .25 Auto Germany 1960s Raven Ancestor

Our proprietor emeritus, now a spry 97-year-old, used to offer this type warranty on cheap autos like this J.P. Sauer & Sohn / Hawes .25 Single Action Auto made in West Germany some time in the 1960s: we guarantee it not to shoot, and if it shoots, we’ll give you your money back. The point is that this is a very cheap made, pot-metal .25 auto, the direct ancestor of that bane of pistoldom, the Raven MP-25. It is immaterial whether this pistol shoots or not, if a person wants a .25 to use, find you a good gun, a Titan .25 or better. What is important is that this pistol begot a whole wave of pot-metal cheap guns that flourish today under such illustrious names as High Point. This one is well worn surface wise, with little of its original enamel remaining, but a nice flat gray pot-metal patina. We wouldn’t want to play roulette with it, because the sear engages properly and the firing pin retracts and slides forward as it is supposed to. Own this notable cheap gun     for only                                   $ 79.95

F.I.E. Titan .25 Auto G-VG 1970s

image029

If anyone cares, the serial number range on this F.I.E. Titan model E27B .25 Auto pistol is 245,000 range, made, by our poor memory, some time in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Our late 1960s and early 1970s records show a transition from five to six digit numbers in the late 1960s, so this one was probably made in the late 1970s or early 1980s, before the onslaught of the vastly inferior Ravens, Jenningses, and their descendants, the pot-metal High Point firearms. The Titans and identical Targas, marketed by Eig Cutlery descendant Excam company, are actually pretty good little guns, simply made and easy to disassemble and maintain. Despite the pot-metal frames on these .25s, the slide and other parts are mostly milled steel, and they are real guns, unlike the current crop of pot metal and polymer that our market is now awash with. The only design flaw to this pistol is that its safety operates in a manner reverse to normal; in order to fire it, a person has to shift his grip slightly to operate it with his right thumb. This Titan .25’s frame finish is down to a matte gray, with its plating worn off; but the blue slide and barrel have 70 to 80 percent of their surface finish intact, and the hammer’s chrome is fully intact. Mechanism is Very Good, and the bore and chamber are clean. Rifling has a rippled effect, but these are not known for pin-point accuracy anyway. Own this good solid little Carter-era .25 Auto                       for only                       $ 119.95

Sales policy: We accept Mastercard or Visa on a phone- or fax-in basis; and USPS Money Orders for immediate shipment. Personal checks, company checks, and in some instances Cashier’s Checks may involve a delay of no more than 8 business days for clearance. We offer a 7 day return privilege, lay-aways and NIB guns excluded. We offer 90 day lay-away with 20 percent down, balance in 90 days, but will levy a 6% per month service charge on the unpaid balance if the lay-away runs past 90 days. We accept trade-ins at agreed-upon prices, delivered to us. We cannot be responsible for the freight on returns unless we have made some sort of glaring mistake.

Walk-in customers from Tennessee may buy firearms of any type we have. Tennessee Sales Tax is 9 ¾%, and there is a $10 TBI Tennessee Instant Check Fee on all firearms purchases. Customers from many other states may buy long guns, but that depends on your state's laws. Buyers from Connecticut, Florida, Texas, or California, for example, cannot walk in to our store and buy a firearm; buyers from Indiana, Montana, or Oklahama, for example, can. They are subject to the same sales tax and TICS fees as Tennessee Residents.

Shipping rates and information: We must have a signed copy of the purchaser’s Federal Firearms License in order to ship firearms interstate, and that licensee must check out with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as a current, bona fide licensee. Legible faxed and scanned copies are permissible. Individuals commonly use Licensees to act as transfer agents. We always include a gun lock and a copy of the Federal Youth Firearms Safety Act brochure with handguns, shipped or over-the-counter; and we always furnish a copy of our FFL to the receiving dealer.

First handgun is $15.00, $7.50 each for add-ons, insured, USPS Priority Mail. $20 for First Hand Gun to Alaska, California, or Hawaii. California approved gun lock is included at this rate.

First long gun is $25.00, $10.00 each for add-ons in one order. Insurance is included. $35 for First Long Gun to Alaska, California, or Hawaii.

Interstate Shipments of Firearms can go to Federally Licensed Dealers Only. Anyone who undertakes to purchase a firearm must first of all be eligible to own one under State and Federal Law. Disabilities from owning firearms include being under 21 for a handgun (or pistol grip rifle or shotgun) or under 18 for a long gun; conviction, indictment or information of a misdemeanor domestic violence or felony (it does not matter if the person served jail time or not, the conviction or information suffices); adjudication of a nervous disorder or disability; and non-citizenship in the United States. If anyone who is not eligible to own a firearm attempts to purchase one from us, we will assist law enforcement in that person’s prosecution. If anyone attempts to aid and abet the acquisition of a firearm from us for an ineligible person, we will assist in all involved parties’ prosecution. We have no intention of violating any laws. That is why we cannot ship some firearms and/or magazines to jurisdictions that include California, Maryland, New Jersey, and the New York City vicinity.

One of the most common and persistent violations of Federal Law is the straw purchase. Never attempt to buy a gun for someone else under any circumstances. Even spouses buying for each other is tricky. We will not accept third party payment for firearms purchases. If you want to buy someone a present, buy something besides a firearm.

If an unlicensed individual wishes to purchase a firearm that we have advertised on a mail order, interstate basis, he or she must do so legally through an FFL, a federally licensed dealer. Dealers normally charge transfer fees. In our experience, the most readily available transferors are Pawnbrokers and Gunsmiths. Please have transfer logistics worked out before contacting us for a purchase. Thanks for your interest. Law Enforcement officers may purchase a firearm through their department only if it will be used on duty, and Department Letters and paperwork from the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in the jurisdiction are required.
