NRA Dealer of the Year

1993, 1995, 1997

Thanks for looking over our Ruger inventory, and for those among our shoppers who have done business with us in the past. We have sold Rugers since we’ve been in business, and in our experience they are the most durable firearms in existence. Their finish smoothness ranks third behind Colt and Smith & Wesson, of course; but their desirability and even collectability is nothing to sneeze at any more.

This page contains our new Ruger Handguns that we have in stock, and a few of our used and collector Rugers. For more of our Ruger listings, please check our

Our commendation goes to Sturm, Ruger and Company for listing serialization dates on their website. For Ruger Rifles, please check our Ruger Long Guns page.

We are interested in buying or trading for most, but not all, Ruger Firearms in Excellent Condition. We like all their revolvers, especially bright blue with wood grips. Most of their .22 autos are desirable for our clientele, less true for the plastic frame variants. Ruger Center Fire Auto Handguns are only interesting to us at low pawn rates, $100 - $150 for most 9mms, .40s, and .45s. Similar situation holds true for Ruger Long Guns. For those kind enough to offer to sell to us or trade with us, please bear in mind that it costs us $50 or more per firearm to book it, clean it, write it up, photograph it, and publish it on the internet. A 1968 Ruger Super Blackhawk in its original box is a very different, much more valuable firearm if it’s “out there” than if it’s in somebody’s safe.

Discount schedule: 2% discount for payment with USPS Money Orders. We ship handguns for only $15 first handgun, $7.50 for add-ons same order, to the lower 47 States. $20 First Handgun to AK, CA, HI.

Listings format:  Our stock number, then Item Title, then photos, then description & pricing. We apologize for the mixture, but we have to keep our listings in our Acquisition order so that we can halfway keep up with them.

Ruger 9mm P-95 Stainless Decocker Exc in Box 2 Mags

image004image005image006image007image008image009image010

Here is one of the workhorse P-95 Ruger Pistols in Stainless Steel, with Polymer Grip frame, the KP95DC, bought new locally from us in 2004. It is in Excellent Condition in its original box with both ban-period 10 round magazines, all its papers, and even the original case lock. The only wear indications is buffing from handling, a shiny effect to the polymer grip frame. Bushing contact scuffing to the top area of the barrel is only moderate, so we do not believe this pistol has been fired much over 200 rounds. Current replacement price on this pistol in our area is around $375; we’re offering this one, however, with its two California Compliant 10-round ban period magazines            for only           $ 299.95

Ruger .22 MkIII Gov’t Competition New Unfired in Box 2004 Mfg

image011image012image013image014image015image016

Here is a mint condition, unfired Ruger KMK-678GC, Mark III Government Competition variant that we traded from one of our favorite Pennsylvanians. It is unfired in its original box with all its papers. All that is missing is the platic bar and waxed paper that the pistol itself was wrapped in. All the papers, the Ruger Lock, the Scope Mounts, the extra magazine, even the fired brass envelope, are mint, new and unopened. This pistol has had a 4473 form executed, but has not been even loaded; and it still has original grease on the side of the bolt and on the bolt face. While we stock the newer fluted-barrel variant of this pistol, the Hunter, this is the original classic slab-side stainless, introduced in the early 1990s, that outshoots most bolt action .22 rifles for accuracy. Current pricing on these fine pistols in our area is $500 or more. We’re offering this one, however,      for only           $ 429.95

Ruger GP-100 .357 HB 4 in Blue Exc in Box

image074image075image076image077image078image079image080image081image082image083

Arguably the best .357 Magnum on the market, this Ruger GP-100 is the full lug heavy barrel variant with the older style, more attractive wood-paneled grips. It is in Excellent Condition in its original gray box with the correct label. Its only surface detractions are light narrow white streaking on the muzzle end of the barrel, faint whiteness on the sharp edges of the cylinder, and light cylinder rotation marking. There is a narrow white scuff on the trigger guard.  We rate it at 90 percent finishwise, but photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. This revolver is clean and excellent mechanically as well. Blast effect to the under side of the frame topstrap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is minimal, only light etching, as the photo shows. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is an optimal .007. Double action trigger pull is better than normal for a Ruger, and the hammer travels a full 20 degrees on double action after the cylinder times into place. Lateral movement or wobble effect to the cylinder is minimal with the trigger relaxed and negligible with the trigger fully pulled. On single action, the hammer travels a full 35 degrees after the cylinder times, and the single action trigger pull is a tight but crisp 5 pounds. Current replacement price on the GP100 Blue is $500 or more in our area, and the blue variants are hard to find and even then do not have the wood paneled grips. This one was manufactured in the Year 2000, with its 174-248xx serial number. We’re offering it                       for only           $ 389.95

Ruger .44 Mag SS Super Blackhawk Hunter

image084image085image086image087image088image093image094image095image096image097image098image099image100image101image102

Here is the most highly developed variant of the tough-as-nails Ruger Super Blackhawk, the KS-47NHN, Hunter variant with integral Ruger Steel Scope Rings. This one is Excellent throughout, in its original and correctly labeled box with laminated grips, cylinder spacer, fired brass, and instruction manual. At press time, we did not have its rings because Ruger is now selling their rings one at a time, and we have another one on the way. Price will include a brand new set of the KS100R scope rings, both the same height. This Super Blackhawk Hunter’s only surface detraction is mild rotation marking on its cylinder surface and a few light scours on the front of the trigger guard, left side of the frame, and rear edge of the ejector rod housing. None of these little scours are unusually even for an NIB Ruger. Barrel length is 7 ½ inch; caliber is .44 Special & .44 Magnum; Six Round Capacity; transfer bar safety; single action only; gray laminate factory grips; weight 52 oz. empty. Replacement price on this revolver in our area is well over $600. We’re offering this one, however,                 for only           $ 469.95

Ruger 50th Anniv Single Six 4 ¾ in Blue Mint in Box 2 Cylinders

image103image104image105image106image107image108image109image110image111

Here is the most traditional variant of the currently produced Ruger Single Six, the fixed sight version that some of us loosely call flat top. This revolver is in its original box with all its papers, down to the cylinder spacer, and the box has the original serial number and label from 2003, the 50th Anniversary Year of Single Six production. Note the nostalgic red background in the grips logo. This revolver has no conspicuous surface detractions. Cylinder rotation marking is very faint, not as pronounced as most NIB Rugers. There is a small peck on the cylinder surface, but we believe that is original to the revolver since the peck is blued. This revolver had been fired, but not many times, because we cleaned it. While the 50th Anniversary Single Six is not as scarce as the Bearcats, it is far less plentiful than the 50th Anniv. Blackhawks. We’re offering this mint- or near-mint Single Six complete with .22 LR and .22 Magnum Cylinders    for only           $ 449.95

Ruger .22 Bull Barrel Mk III 22/45 NIB

image113image114image115image116image117

Here is the best value on the .22 Target Pistol on the market, hands down: a Ruger P-512, Mark III Bull Barrel .22 LR, 5 ½ inch adjustable, New in Box with two magazines, Ruger factory lock, and Weaver type scope mount. Ruger has fitted the famously accurate 5 ½ inch Bull Barrel upper receiver to its good-feeling, economical 22/45 composite frame for a winning combination. The grip frame, of course, contours very much like the 1911 Colt Autos. Weight empty is 33 oz, sights are both windage and elevation adjustable, and capacity is 10 shots plus one. Own one of these fine pistols                         for only                       $ 269.95

Ruger GP-100 Sts HB 6 in NIB

image017image018image019

The Ruger GP-100 has always been a top quality performer for us. This is Ruger’s answer to the Smith & Wesson 686 and, of course, the definitive Colt Python. Ruger has its advantages for ruggedness and it will ignite anybody’s primer. Factory specs are: traditional double & single action; caliber .357 Remington Magnum – and .38 Special – and .38 Colt; Barrel is 6 inch Full Lug; cylinder capacity 6 rounds; transfer bar internal safety; grips rubber with rosewood inserts; fixed detachable black ramp front sight and windage and elevation adjustable white outline rear sight; weight 45 oz. empty; finish is satin stainless. We are personally partial to the revolvers from Springfield, Massachusetts. But we respect these Rugers, they deserve it. And most important to us, we believe they are underpriced on today’s market. Own a brand new 6 inch Ruger GP-100, either the one in the photo or one of its identical mates,                       for only                       $ 499.95

Ruger Mark II Bull 5 ½ in .22 LR VG 1986

image020image021image022image023image024image025image026image027

Serial number 212-766xx, this Ruger Mark II rolled off the assembly line in Southport, Connecticut in 1986. Its only detractions are normal case and holster contact visible on the muzzle and frame edges. We consider it to be about 90 percent finishwise, but the photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. External bolt surface is not heavily buffed, so this pistol has probably been fired fewer than 1,000 rounds. No matter; the Rugers are virtually indestructible anyway, and they will outshoot most rifles for accuracy. And they maintain their resale value better than any other firearm on the market. Own this eminently serviceable and even collectable 22-year old Ruger .22                   for only                       $ 289.95

Ruger SP-101 .357 Mag 2 in Sts NIB

9.27 (69)9.27 (68)9.27 (67)

The Ruger SP-101, more than the Taurus 85, deserves credit for initiating the small frame revolver muscle contest of the late 1990s where their chief competitor, Smith & Wesson, came along with a bit of kicking and screaming first to .38 Plus P status on their J frames, and then to full house .357 Magnum. We have wondered, since the proliferation of Titanium Revolvers began a couple years ago, why Ruger hasn’t followed suit here. This SP-101 Ruger in .357 Magnum Caliber marks a definitive historical point for concealable handgun development, and it holds pride of place to this day. It is five shot capacity, handles any conventional .357 Magnum load – and a lot of unconventional ones; 2.25 inch full shroud barrel; weight of 25 ounces empty; traditional double and single action; and it has a highly absorbent rubber grip. Viewed against the Smith & Wesson competitors, this revolver is underpriced on today’s market. Own the one in the photo or one of its identical mates                   for only                       $ 469.95

9.27 (66)9.27 (61)9.27 (62)9.27 (63)9.27 (64)9.27 (65)9.27 (60)

This particular KMKIIII678H, the Mark III in 6 7/8” fluted heavy barrel, has had a 4473 form executed; it has been taken to a local home, but it has not been fired. The brief owner, 1. has more guns than he can fire to begin with; and 2. got his attention caught by an Interarms Walther PPK/S in .32 ACP.  The most up to date of a very traditional, reliable, and accurate stand by, the Ruger T678, this is the fluted heavy barrel stainless Ruger Mark III Hunter in 6 7/8 inch barrel length with fiber optic sights, scope base, factory Goncalo grips, and extra magazine. It comes also with two keys for its internal lock. This item is brand new in its original box with papers, fresh 2008 production. Factory specs are as follows:

This 5 ½ inch Blue New Model Single Six Ruger has adjustable sights, of course, as well as its original walnut grips. Serial number prefix is 261, and this particular Single Six was manufactured in the last year of the Reagan Administration. It is a truck gun, a varmint and even deer hunting side arm from our Sister State to the immediate South. The .22 Magnum is legal in Mississippi for deer. We have always found the caliber sufficiently effective for varmints so as to render the .17 HMR a mere non-essential novelty. Note the weathering indications from the unblued hammer sides, and moderate scuffing and scouring. We rate it as Good to Very Good finishwise, since it has about 70-75 percent of its finish remaining by our estimate. Period, or slightly earlier, Pachmayr grips show very little wear. Note, too, that the under side of the frame top strap directly above the forcing cone has only moderate blast effect, so we estimate this revolver has been fired 300 – 400 rounds with Magnum Cartridges. Our Office Manager pulled quite a bit of copper from the bore during cleaning. We were not able to get the Long Rifle Cylinder, but Ruger Single Sixes are not accurate with Long Rifles anyway, since the bore diameter has to be larger to accommodate the larger Magnum bullet. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all excellent. Own this good, solid Ruger .22 Magnum          for only                       $ 279.95

With its mid-range number and 310 prefix, this very nice local Ruger P-89 was manufactured in the model’s fourth year of production, 1996. It has its orginal unmarked gray box with lock, one key, instruction manual, two 10-shot ban period magazines, and mag loading tool. The loading tool is the only article in this set that has any visible rust. The pistol itself and both magazines, as the photos show, have very minor wear indications, a bit of small white scuffing here and there on the frame edges and on the magazines from insertion and removal. Exposed rear area of the barrel exterior shows only negligible wear, so we do not believe this pistol has been fired very much, likely less than 200 rounds. It approaches Excellent condition, somewhere in the 85-90 percent range by our estimate. Prospective owners, however, should be able to judge finish grade themselves from the photos. The P-85s are acquiring some collectability, and we don’t see why this old style P-89 shouldn’t. We’re offering this pistol for about what it sold for new twelve years ago. Own it             for only                       $ 289.95

This very nice little old Ruger came from our old friend Mike Presson at Bemis, Tennessee. Its only detractions are on its grip frame area, normal handling wear that results in a not-unattractive brownish-blue patina on the front and backstrap. Otherwise, the only contact evidence is some very narrow white streaking on its sharp edges. Serially numbered 12-811xx, this RST-4 Ruger was manufactured in 1974, making it a Pre-Warning. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are excellent and, we can assure our shoppers, clean. Own this very nice 33-year-old Ruger Mark I .22 LR 10-shot pistol  for only                       $249.95

The first visual depiction is, of course, Ruger factory ad art. The photos are an actual specimen we had in stock at composition time, Spring 2008. This is how they look out of the box, well coated with protective grease from the factory. The Ruger Redhawk has always been an exceptional value, and a stronger frame and action than its Smith & Wesson counterparts as far as brute force and strength of construction is concerned. Factory specs are as follows: traditional single and double action; .44 Remington Magnum Caliber; 5 ½ inch blue steel barrel and frame; 6 round cylinder capacity; transfer bar internal safety; Rosewood factory Grips; Red Ramp front sight and White Outline windage and elevation adjustable rear sight; 49 ounces empty.        The Redhawk continues to be an outstanding value.
