NRA Dealer of the Year 1993, 1995, 1997

Thanks for visiting our Muzzleloader and Air Rifle page. Please also see our Walker, a genuine Colt factory reproduction. We anticipate more coming. It you have any to sell, we are only looking for certain kinds, so please see our Wanted to Buy segment below on this page.

We used to say, primitive weapons, but many of the inlines are ultra-modern and completely non-traditional. Many of our black powder firearms are faithful to their 18thand 19th Century ancestors. We even include air rifles on this page, on the rare occasions when we have any.

Most of our firearms are listed on

Guns America         with a few on           Auction Arms

and a few more on Gun Broker. Our most comprehensive listings, and most of our new arrivals, are on Guns America. You don't have to join to view our listings, but it's easy to enroll.

Any firearm, modern, primitive, or antique– including all the muzzleloaders listed on here – are only for sale to customers in the United States. Shipping is only $25.00 for First Long Gun Muzzleloader to the lower 48, $10.00 each for add-ons in the same order. Hand guns ship for $15. Hawaii and New Jersey shipments must go to FFL Dealers; in normal states, even California, FFL is not necessary. 2% Discount for payment with USPS Money Orders!

This particular Sharps .54 saw quite a bit of action on the reenactment fields of West Tennessee at Shiloh, and even at a Gettysburg episode, in the 1980s and early 1990s, mostly on the Union side. Its owner was a stickler for cleanliness, attest the condition of the bore and chamber. Its only surface detractions are light small mars and scuffs here and there on the stock and forend, and slight amounts of white and spottiness on the receiver, particularly its left side. Barrel has two tiny scratches on its top about 5inches back of the muzzle and a small lightly pitted area on the left side near there. Neither of these, like the small white streak forward of the forend, is conspicuous. We estimate it rates 80 to 85 percent on the walnut, and 85 to 90percent on the metal finishwise, but we have included sufficient photography for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. This one is IAB Italian manufacture, serial number 227xx. Its date code is AC, 1977. It is basically the same as the Navy Arms rifles identical to it now on the market, but very scarce at the present. Factory specs are as follows: .54 caliber; breech or muzzle loading percussion; 28 inch octagonal barrel with 1:48 twist; 44.88 inches overall length; weight 8.82 pounds empty; oil-finished walnut stock; casehardened steel hardware; blue metal finish; elevator rear sight and blade front sight; manufactured in Italy by I.A.B. Marking in front of the barrel in front of the sight reads U.S. Sharps’ / Rifle Co. /Meriden Conn. Caliber, Importer, and Proof marks are on the rear surface of the barrel around and behind the rear sight. Current replacement price on this rifle is upwards of $1,000.00. We’re offering this one, however,      for only           $ 569.95

Here is an estate rifle, a genuine Thompson/Center Hawken .50 Caliber, that came from adjacent Hardeman County, Tennessee. The rifle only shows storage detractions, and we do not believe it was ever actually hunted with. Bore is Excellent with no visible pitting; this rifle has been kept clean. Surface detractions only amount to light occasional spotting on the bluing, none of which is conspicuous. We estimate that 10 percent of the barrel surface is affected. The stock has its original oil finish intact, with light tiny occasional pecks and scuffs that affect about 10 percent of the wood surface by our estimate. Lock, hammer and trigger are similarly proportioned, with only occasional spottiness. We do not consider the brass’s toning to be a detraction. This is a fine, vintage styled, well maintained Reagan-era Hawken, serial number 1514xx. Replacement price on T/C Hawkens is currently $600 or more in our area. We’re offering this one, however,        for only    $ 429.95

This is the improvement to Remington’s pocket revolver of 1857, the New Model Pocket Revolver introduced in 1863; that is, this is Pietta of Italy’s excellent recreation of that original concealed carry revolver. This all steel blued 1863 New Model comes with a 3 ½ inch octagonal barrel, five shot cylinder, color casehardened hammer and trigger, and European walnut grip panels. This specimen’s serial number is H0055xx, and the date code is BU, year of manufacture 2004. It is in its original Cabela’s box with both instruction manuals; it is new and unfired with only negligible cylinder rotation evidence. Weight empty is a fraction under 16 ounces, about the same as an Airweight Smith & Wesson. Replacement price on this fine little revolver in our area is well over $300.00; we’re offering this one, however,                      for only                                   $229.95

We have sold a good many of the steel frame .44Remington Model of 1858 revolvers like this one, made by the top-notch Pietta Company in Italy, over the past 30 or 40 years with excellent results. Ours were mostly Navy Arms imports. This one is a Cabela’s import. Same gun. All the standard 1858Remingtons like this one have an 8 inch barrel, blue steel throughout except brass trigger guard assembly, and European walnut grip panels. This revolver sinew unfired from a collection liquidation from one of our favorite Floridians. It is new unfired in the box, and we unwrapped it for the first time. According to its BT Date Code, it was manufactured in 2003. This revolver was one of some two dozen similar ones. It is complete in its original box with all its paperwork; and we’re offering it          for only                       $ 239.95

This is the main Junior Partner to the 1858Remington Copies, the 1858 Navy with 6 ½ inch barrel, an inch shorter than its Army Model sibling. Commander Size, a person might say. This revolver is of top-quality Italian origin, manufactured by Pietta. We have personally sold several dozen of these for the past three decades that were imported by Navy Arms with excellent results. This is the same revolver we’ve always sold, only with Cabela’s packaging. The entire 6 shot revolver is made of blued ordnance steel, Italian proofed, with the exception of the brass trigger guard. Hammer and trigger are appropriately casehardened. Grip panels are European walnut. This revolver is in mint condition; it has never been fired and the cylinder bears no rotation marking. We do not allow rotation in our store, either. According to its BT Date Code, it was manufactured in 2003. Own this fine, faithful replica of the 1858 Remington Navy .36   for only                       $ 239.95

From one of the two best replica manufacturers in the world, Pietta of Italy, comes this updated version of a classic, an 1851Navy Colt .44 Revolver in Polished Steel with brass grip frame. Dubbed the U.S. Marshal because of its 5 inch barrel, as opposed to the standard 1851’s 7 ½inch barrel, this revolver has half coverage engraving with Italicized star on either side of the barrel flats. This revolver has been fired, but it was cleaned immediately and bears no surface detractions other than negligible cylinder rotation marking and one tiny peck on the lower edge of the right grip panel. Note the exquisite and nearly symmetrical burl pattern to the European Walnut Grips. This revolver is in its original box with both its manuals, and its serial number is 4948xx. According to its BT Date Code, it was manufactured in 2003; and it came to us from a collection liquidation by one of our favorite Floridians. This variant is no longer available from Cabela’s, as far as we can ascertain. Its serial number is R3333xx, and from its BT date code, it was manufactured in 2003, perhaps the final year of production for this variant.             This carbine form of the 1858 Remington Revolver appears to be historically sound, copied after the Beals Carbine. This one is made by the best Italian manufacturer, Aldo Uberti, and it is in mint condition with its original box, serial numbered A375xx. The rifle is date coded BT, manufactured in 2003. Barrel is 18 inches long, and the length of pull is a standard 14 inches for the buttstock measurement. Construction is blued steel for all the critical parts, with brass trigger guard and buttplate. Sights are windage step and elevation drift adjustable. This rifle came from a collection liquidation from one of our favorite Floridians. It has never been fired, the cylinder is not even marked from rotation, and it has never even been loaded. While we have the box and its inserts, including the original plastic wrapper, we do not have the rifle’s instruction manuals. As far as we can determine, this is not only an exceptional rifle, it is an exceptionally scarce commodity at present. We know of none in distribution channels, probably because of imminent price increases. Replacement price on these in our area runs around$600.00. We’re offering this one, however,       for only                       $ 469.95

Sales policy: We only sell muzzleloaders or gun parts to persons who are 21 years of age or older, and require reasonable validation proof of that status. We also require a scan or faxed drivers license and statement that the buyer is not prohibited by any state, local, or federal law from owning firearms and ammunition. Hawaii and New Jersey residents must transfer percussion firearms through an FFL, a Federally Licensed Dealer. We accept Mastercard or Visa on a phone- or fax-in basis; and USPS Money Orders for immediate shipment. Personal checks, company checks, and in some instances Cashier’s Checks may involve a delay of no more than 8 business days for clearance. We offer a 7 day return privilege, lay-aways and NIB guns excluded. We offer 90 day lay-away with 20 percent down, balance in 90 days, but will levy a 6% per month service charge on the unpaid balance if the lay-away runs past 90 days. We accept trade-ins at agreed-upon prices, delivered to us. We cannot be responsible for the freight on returns unless we have made some sort of glaring mistake.

Walk-in customers from Tennessee may buy firearms of any type we have. Tennessee Sales Tax is 9 ¾%, and there is a $10 TBI Tennessee Instant Check Fee on all firearms purchases, muzzleloaders excluded from the $10 Fee. Customers from many other states may buy long guns, but that depends on your state's laws. Buyers from Connecticut, Florida, Texas, or California, for example, cannot walk in to our store and buy a firearm; buyers from Indiana, Montana, or Oklahama, for example, can. They are subject to the same sales tax and TICS fees as Tennessee Residents.

Shipping rates and information: We must have a signed copy of the purchaser’s Federal Firearms License in order to ship firearms interstate, and that licensee must check out with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as a current, bona fide licensee. Legible faxed and scanned copies are permissible. Individuals commonly use Licensees to act as transfer agents. We always include a gun lock and a copy of the Federal Youth Firearms Safety Act brochure with handguns, shipped or over-the-counter; and we always furnish a copy of our FFL to the receiving dealer.

First handgun is $15.00, $7.50 each for add-ons, insured, USPS Priority Mail. $20 for First Percussion Hand Gun to Alaska, New Jersey, or Hawaii. California approved gun lock is included at this rate.

First long gun is $25.00, $10.00 each for add-ons in one order. Insurance is included. $35 for First Long Muzzleloader to Alaska, New Jersey, or Hawaii.

Interstate Shipments of Firearms can go to Federally Licensed Dealers Only. Anyone who undertakes to purchase a firearm must first of all be eligible to own one under State and Federal Law. Disabilities from owning firearms include being under 21 for a handgun (or pistol grip rifle or shotgun) or under 18 for a long gun; conviction, indictment or information of a misdemeanor domestic violence or felony (it does not matter if the person served jail time or not, the conviction or information suffices); adjudication of a nervous disorder or disability; and non-citizenship in the United States. If anyone who is not eligible to own a firearm attempts to purchase one from us, we will assist law enforcement in that person’s prosecution. If anyone attempts to aid and abet the acquisition of a firearm from us for an ineligible person, we will assist in all involved parties’ prosecution. We have no intention of violating any laws. That is why we cannot ship some firearms and/or magazines to jurisdictions that include California, Maryland, New Jersey, and the New York City vicinity.

One of the most common and persistent violations of Federal Law is the straw purchase. Never attempt to buy a gun for someone else under any circumstances. Even spouses buying for each other is tricky. We will not accept third party payment for firearms purchases. If you want to buy someone a present, buy something besides a firearm.

If an unlicensed individual wishes to purchase a firearm that we have advertised on a mail order, interstate basis, he or she must do so legally through an FFL, a federally licensed dealer. Dealers normally charge transfer fees. In our experience, the most readily available transferors are Pawnbrokers and Gunsmiths. Please have transfer logistics worked out before contacting us for a purchase. Thanks for your interest. Law Enforcement officers may purchase a firearm through their department only if it will be used on duty, and Department Letters and paperwork from the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in the jurisdiction are required.
