Non-US, Foreign Military Firearms, 1865 - 2000

Thanks for looking over our inventory, and for those among our shoppers who have done business with us in the past. We use NRA grading terminology and percentages of the original finish remaining on the firearm in our descriptions. While firearm grading is subjective like coin grading, we have tried to give ample closeup photos of the firearms and tried to describe any detracting features of each firearm in such a way as seller and buyer can be as clear as possible on the merchandise’s condition. We include specific citations to Fjiestad’s Blue Book of Gun Values, published annually by Krause Publications.

Please check for military listings on our Smith & Wesson, Colt, German Firearms, and Copies pages as well.

Most of our firearms are listed on

Guns America         with a few on           Auction Arms

and a few more on Gun Broker. Our most comprehensive listings, and most of our new arrivals, are on Guns America. You don't have to join to view our listings, but it's easy to enroll.

Format is our stock number & heading – then photos – then description and price on each item. Serial numbers are deliberately smudged.

Please bear in mind that we ship handguns for flat $15 to the lower 47 states, long guns flat $25. 2% discount for payment with USPS Money Orders.

Military Jap 7.7 Arisaka VG Complete

Here is a genuine World War II Japanese Military Arisaka rifle from a family estate in nearby Carroll County, Tennessee. A late and honorable WWII Vet actually brought this one back, and we will furnish as much information as possible on the vet to the buyer of this fine rifle. It is complete and fully intact, and the Chrysanthemum’s outline is strong. Bolt does not match numbers with the receiver, but the bold has the massive large operating handle and works perfectly. Bipod is intact, as the photos show. This is a Toyo Kogo Arsenal rifle, 7.7 caliber, and its finish has much to commend it. The stock has two surface abrasions on the right side of the buttstock; four more on the left side of the forend area; and one spot on the right side near the chamber area where the finish is penetrated to a moderate extent. Otherwise there are light to moderate pecks and scours here and there on the wood, but we still estimate that 70 percent of the original wood finish is intact. Metal finish is proportionate, too: spotty toning or light superficial rust spots affect about 30 percent of the exterior bluing, and there is some whitening to the extractor from operation, and to the muzzle and bayonet lug from use of the bayonet. While the barrel band / bipod bracket is very nice, the bipod itself has about 50 percent light rust residue on its wire body. Bore and chamber are Very Good, and we detect no pitting at all. While we lack the equipment to check head spacing for the bolt and chamber, the bolt fits well and its mechanism is strong and intact. We’re offering this fully original, very honorable Japanese Military World War II bring-back by one of our West Tennessee Volunteers for only           $ 569.95

The holster, mind you, is later, 1980s. The pistol, however, is an excellent specimen of the German Military Walther P-38 double action pistol from World War II. This one is in Very Good Condition, arsenal refinished. This is an byq coded German military issued pistol with all matching numbers except for the magazine, 42xx w. It is marked by the recent importer, R Guns, Carpentersville, Illinois. Since it is most likely a Russian Capture pistol, it has been expertly arsenal refinished. The only other detractions apart from the importer stamp is moderate pitting and pecking at a few places on the left side of the slide, on the flat’s edges; and a small similar area on the forward right side of the slide. Both areas been blued over, and the detractions are not conspicuous, especially give the mill marks on the slide sides. Otherwise the mill marks, stamping and lettering are all quite sharp. Bore is Good to Very Good, with about 30 percent very light internal pitting in the grooves only. Chamber is Very Good and smooth. This pistol is Very Good to Excellent mechanically, with flawless function. The decocking mechanism is characteristically rough. Despite its detractions, this is an eminently serviceable and collectable early War P-38. We’re offering it   for only     $ 569.95

Even though there is only about 20 percent of the original bluing left on this Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Rifle, the wood is above average, and we consider it to be in Very Good Condition. There is light rust and light external pitting on about 20 percent of the surface area. Note, however, the strong portions of original bluing left on this rifle, and it appears entirely original. It is original and completely intact. The bolt serial number matches the receiver’s; the rear sight is earlier WWII, better quality adjustable; and the mum has not been obliterated. All serial numbers match, even the dust cover’s. While we are not conversant with the Japanese characters, there is plenty of information on the net, sites like radix dot net or Tennessee Gun Parts site. The major detraction is some insect damage midways on the right side of the buttstock. This rifle’s bore and chamber are also very good. The only pitting we detect is very light, looks like pecks, and affects a portion of the bore from about 4 inches behind the muzzle to about 6 inches behind the muzzle. The pits only affect about 10 percent of that one area, on the bottom rifling lands as one faces the muzzle. This is a very nice Arisaka, complete, original, early War well-made, and has not been fired much. We’re offering it               for only                  $ 669.95

This CZ is a Crvena Zastava, not the Czech CZ; nevertheless, it is a good little pistol. It is a PW Arms Import, all blue steel .32 Auto that we estimate was manufactured some time in the 1970s or early 1970s. Most likely it is a Yugoslavian Police pistol, Model 70 and so marked. Photo is representative, but it is one of several that we had in stock in 2008. We anticipate having more in stock. Own one of these fine, solid little .32s     for only           $ 169.95

Here is a pair of altered but genuine World War II Arisaka Rifles from the Japanese Military. Both of them came to us from California Residents. The Sporter, our #943, is a quite nice rifle that has only had its bolt handle expertly bent and had wood removed from the forend area. Its bolt serial number does not match the receiver. Wood is Very Good, with a pronounced contact crease on the left side beneath the receiver. It has generous bluing remaining on the barrel, and substantial bluing remaining on the receiver and rear of the bolt. We detect no cracks at all in the wood. The spliced buttstock is, of course, original. Since the bore is completely free of pitting and in Very Good to Excellent Condition, it may be a rebarrel, but it is an original 26 inch military barrel, attest the front sight. The second rifle of this pair, our #936, is missing its magazine assembly and has a pronounced 10 inch crack that runs on the left side from the tang all the way to the front retaining screw, underneath in front of the trigger guard. The left side also has some cutaway area on the left side of the receiver, possibly a preliminary attempt at scope mounting. The receiver here, however, is untouched. The bolt handle and extractor have matching numbers to the receiver. The firing pin mechanism is intact, but the bolt assembly needs some work and possibly parts because it is separated into two pieces. While both forend area bands have screws missing, the wood is good enough in that area that a person more talented than we are could make one good Arisaka out of these two. Surprisingly, the bore on 0936 is Very Good, with no visible pitting. The only competent gunsmith in our area is too busy to undertake this project, and we are neither competent nor gunsmiths. We do believe someone would have lots of fun and profit, though, with some work on this pair. We’re offering these two rifles as a pair only, for $150 apiece delivered to the lower 48 states. Own them     for only           $ 275.00.

British .303 Lee-Enfield No 4 Mk I VG

image081image082image083image084image085image086image087image088image089image090

We detect no re-importer marks on this Lee-Enfield No 4 Mark I British .303 Rifle. Note that its rear sight has been removed, and it has been fitted with a Remington 788 Rear sight – an item that is high demand in its own right. Front sight needs a matching blade, but is dovetailed for easy installation. We believe that this rifle was sporterized some time during the 1970s, and it is really in pretty good shape. Rifling lands are all pronounced, and we detect no pitting other than the frequently encountered light crustiness in the rifling grooves, common on many old military rifles. External metal surfaces are clean and smooth, and we detect no external pitting anywhere. Brass buttplate is original and intact. The black enamel finish on the stock is what we classify as hillbilly sporterization. Sometimes we get older military rifles that were actually brought back by Veterans of the World Wars; we doubt, however, that that is the case with this one since the markings and serial numbers have been reiterated on the left side of the receiver, as the photos show. This old rifle has been, right up until last deer season, in the fields of West Tennessee harvesting white tail deer until its young third-generation owner decided to trade it in on a Marlin .22, one that got better gas mileage after we were unable to supply bargain .303 ammunition anymore. We’re offering this prize of July 2008      for only           $ 119.95 NOT C&R Eligible.

image105image106image107image108image109image110image111image112image113image114image115image116image117image118

This is one of the imports from our friends in Knoxville, Tennessee Guns Inc., a genuine 98K Mauser in 8 x 57 Caliber with 24 inch barrel, straight bolt handle, and laminated stock. While the stock has substantial pecks and gouges that affect about 10 percent of its surface, it is intact and functional. The worst gouges are on the front left region of the forend area, and two smaller places on the left lower rear area of the buttstock. Metal is Excellent Throughout, an arsenal refinish bthat preserved the very sharp lettering. While the S/42G marking above the chamber area of the barrel may indicate World War II manufacture, the Eagle Proof marks are West German instead of the horizontal winged Nazi proofs that we have seen. Barrel and receiver serial numbers match, 78xx; but the safety, safety housing, bolt handle, and trigger guard areas are mismatched four or five digits. The bore and chamber are clean and excellent. We’re offering this very solid 98K Mauser        for only                       $ 289.95

This genuine Arisaka Trainer Rifle was an Allied Capture from World War II. It is original and authentic. Despite extensive pecking and scuffing to the buttstock, we still consider that the wood surface is 70 to 75 percent. Action and Barrel are even better, and although there is some brown on the bands and swivels, their bluing is basically intact. The floorplate, lower tang and trigger guard are quite rough, but that was normal for these hastily made rifles. Bore is Very Good, with strong lands that are clearly defined all the way to the end of the muzzle, and some lightly crusty darkness in the grooves. The chrysanthemum has been partially obliterated, as the photos show. Own this distinctive, historic Arisaka Trainer, 7.7 mm Jap caliber,             for only                 $ 479.95

This is a well-built rifle, capable of handling any currently manufactured commercial ammunition. It is one of several thousands built by Fabrica de Armas in Spain after World War II and widely used throughout the world. It has a walnut stock, whose principal detraction is a 3 inch hairline crack on top of the pistol grip area directly behind the receiver tang. Otherwise the stock is quite sound and original, with scuffs and pecks that affect about 25 percent of its surface area, by our estimate. Metal exterior is Very Good, note the strength of the remaining bluing on the barrel, receiver, bolt, and trigger guard. Bore is Very Good, with occasional tiny pits affecting less than 5 percent of the rifling lands by our estimate. This is, as we often say, a shooter or a collector. A very positive aspect is that the bolt and receiver serial numbers match, and it is not re-import stamped anywhere. All of its numbers match: the bolt, receiver, trigger guard, and magazine floorplate. From our knowledge of the estate this rifle came from, it was brought in to the United States some time in the 1960s or 1970s.             This is a well-made, all-steel .32 Auto from Depression-era France, imported by Century Arms some time in the 1980s. It has been fitted with a very nice set of walnut target grips and a windage adjustable rear sight to satisfy the strictures of the 1968 Gun Control Act. Most of the original bluing is intact and very pleasing; the only significant finish detraction is a lightly rusty spot on the forward right side of the slide. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all excellent. Note the lanyard ring from its design for the French Police. While this MAB Model D .32 does not have German Military markings, it nevertheless served under Vichy puppet rule during World War II under the direction of our enemies. They are subject to the same sales tax and TICS fees as Tennessee Residents.

Shipping rates and information: We must have a signed copy of the purchaser’s Federal Firearms License in order to ship firearms interstate, and that licensee must check out with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as a current, bona fide licensee. Legible faxed and scanned copies are permissible. Individuals commonly use Licensees to act as transfer agents. We always include a gun lock and a copy of the Federal Youth Firearms Safety Act brochure with handguns, shipped or over-the-counter; and we always furnish a copy of our FFL to the receiving dealer.
