In business since 1952 NRA Dealer of the Year 1993, 1995, 1997 |
Thanks for looking over our inventory,
and for those among our shoppers who have done business with us in the past. We
use NRA grading terminology and percentages of the original finish remaining on
the firearm in our descriptions. While firearm grading is subjective like coin
grading, we have tried to give ample closeup photos of the firearms and tried
to describe any detracting features of each firearm in such a way as seller and
buyer can be as clear as possible on the merchandise’s condition. We
include specific citations to Fjiestad’s Blue Book of Gun Values,
published annually by Krause Publications.
Most of our firearms are
listed on
Guns
America with
a few on Auction
Arms
and a few more on Gun
Broker. Our most comprehensive listings, and most of our new arrivals, are
on Guns
America. You don't have to join to view our listings, but it's easy to
enroll.
Format is our stock number & heading – then photos – then description and price on each item. Serial numbers are deliberately smudged.
By the way, here is the date code information for most German and some other European Pistols:
A = 0, 2000 in most cases / B = 1 / C = 2 / D = 3 /
E = 4 / F = 5 / G = 6 / H = 7 / J = 8 / K = 9
Thanks for looking over our inventory, and for those among our shoppers who have done business with us in the past.
For those kind enough to offer to trade or sell us their guns, please bear in mind that it costs us about $50 to process a firearm, from the time we receive it until it’s a finished product, ready to sell, in our store counters and up on the internet. The main time-consumer is cleaning. Virtually no one keeps their guns clean. One reason that Sig was so slow and so reluctant to begin producing stainless firearms, and really did not produce any until they set up manufacturing in the United States, is that the German gunsmiths didn’t want to be insulted and have their precision milling equipment worn out prematurely just so a bunch of Americans could run around with dirty guns.
2% Discount for orders paid by USPS Money Order. This discount does not apply, however, to purchases made through Guns America, Auction Arms, or other electronic venues where we are required to pay a commission.

Glock 22 .40 S&W 16 Rd w/2 Hi-Cap Mint w/ Orig Box

Here is a Glock full size service pistol, the Model 22, in .40 S&W that is in mint or near-mint condition in its original box. This pistol may be unfired, since bushing contact evidence to the forward section of the barrel is minimal and we detect no wear or holster marking anywhere. There is no carbon residue anywhere either, not even on the magazine followers. It has its original box, but we do not have the fired brass, manual, or papers. Thanks to our distinguished colleagues on the Glock Talk forum, this one’s LEU serial number prefix dates to June of 2007. It came to us from a corrections officer who never carried it on duty. It is the later variant with rail mount and two high capacity post-ban magazines. We cannot ship the magazines to civilians in California, Massachusetts, or New York. Replacement price on these in our area is $600 apiece or better. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 469.95
Sig
Arms P220 Stainless .45 ACP, New Hampshire State Police Trade Ins, Very Good
Condition & Excellent Mechanically, in their original boxes with two
magazines and factory night sights. We just bought the lion's share of these
fine pistols, carried only four years or less by New Hampshire's Finest. Photos
below show representatives of this fine group of pistols, and we have more. All
are in Great Condition, and our pricing is a tremendous savings over new price
for these fine pistols. $20 off for buying one direct from us without us having
to photograph it. They're all really nice guns, with moderate holster wear and
very little use. All the night sights are close to full strength. Photos below
show representatives from the lot. We have cleaned and checked them all, and
condition is similar.

Frequently shoppers in our store will ask which is the best pistol? We don’t like to answer that question, but if we’re forced to, we usually say Sig. Here is an all stainless Sig 220SP .45 Auto, new variant with rail mount frame. Serial number is G3398xx and we estimate it was manufactured in 2004. The pistol in the photo is the pistol that the buyer will receive. This pistol’s only surface detraction is holster contact buffing on the frame and side. The New Hampshire Patrol Officers turn in their weapon at the end of every shift, so they have been removed and reholstered every day in a security duty holster, hence the buffing effect. We rate the finish as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent; but photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. This pistol is excellent mechanically. We estimate it has been fired fewer than 500 rounds, usually 60 rounds per year for qualification for a period of less than 5 years. Bore, chamber, and internal parts are clean, bright and excellent. Replacement Hogue grips are brand new finger-groove variety, similar to the ones the NHSP carried. Manual, factory lock, and brand new extra magazine are included. The magazine in the pistol is 8 round capacity, and the brand new extra mag is 7 round. Weight empty with magazine inserted is just over 37 oz. This pistol has its original factory Night Sights, and they are still strong. Usually the life of night sights is around 12 years, and these have been used for only 1/3 of that span. We rate them at 60 to 70 percent strength.
Replacement price, when a person can even find a 220, is over $1,000 apiece on these in our area. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 579.95

HK P7 PSP VG in Box ca. 1980

Here are some of the best pistols ever built, unquestionably the leader in state-of-the-art production for its day, a genuine German made Heckler & Koch P7 Squeeze-Cocker, earlier PSP variant that is surplus from the West German Federal Bureau of Military Technical Procurement, BWB for its German characters. Date code on the magazine is IA, 1980, and the serial numbers range from below 5000 to around 18000, but we cannot always make out the date codes; they to date from about the same year as the magazine date. 1986 was the final year of production. These pistols are happily import marked from Heckler and Koch in Trussville, AL, so there is no conflict in importer versus manufacturer markings. Each P-7 comes in an original issue box with P7.B-Grade text included on the label. It has a total of only one magazine, but has its instruction manual. We rate most of these as Very Good, their only detractions being light to moderate service wear on the sharp edges and on the frame backstrap area. Raised rib pebble-grained grips are excellent. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are also excellent on this pistol. This is, of course, a single action mechanism that has a frame-mounted cocking mechanism. This also serves as a safety, since the pistol will not fire unless the operator has a firm grip on the frame; and there is an internal firing pin block mechanism that operates off a trigger sear. This pistol’s unique mechanism has a gas-regulated recoil and return system, for optimal handling qualities during protracted combat shooting sessions; the difference, however, between the PSP and the later P7-M8 is that this earlier variant does not have a heat shield and non-gloved shooters will eventually experience felt heat on the trigger guard and upper forward grip frame area. Barrel length is 4 inches, with the distinctive H&K Polygonal bore that insures easier cleaning, increased velocity, and superior accuracy. Sights are ivory bead three dot. Magazine capacity is 7 round, plus one in the chamber for a maximum loaded capacity of 8 rounds of 9mm Parabellum. Weight is 30.5 ounces empty. Own one of the last HK Squeeze Cockers ever to be marketed in the US, the P7 – PSP for only $ 679.95
Sig-Sauer P-6 / P-225 West German Late 1970s – Early 1990s, VG – Exc Condition

Photos are representative of specimens of a nearly-exhausted supply of Sig-Sauer P-6, better known as the P-225 on the US Market. Here is one of the best buys on the used gun market in the US nowadays, a well maintained West German Police sidearm in Very Good to Excellent condition. Each comes in an original factory issue blue box with an extra magazine. The principal difference between the P6 and the US marketed P225 is the slotted-spur commander style hammer. Everything else is the same. This P6 is traditional double action; long smooth double action pull on the first shot, and classic crisp Sig-Sauer single action pull from the cocked position. As the photos show, these Sigs have Century Arms’s import stamp on the left side of the frame, and the date of manufacture on the forward right side of the slide. Surface detractions only amount to normal duty holster contact wear, usually with minimal to moderate scuffing on the right grip panel. Magazine floorplates show some contact wear, but the magazine bodies have strong original finish. All these pistols are excellent mechanically. Firing evidence is only moderate as the photo of the barrel surface shows where the slide bushing has contacted the barrel. Note the similar light slide contact evidence on the chamber area surfaces at the back of the barrel. Bore and mechanism are clean and excellent. We have test fired each weapon. Each cycled two magazines full of Federal American Eagle ball ammo flawlessly, as well as two rounds each of Federal Hydra-Shok hollowpoint and PMC Starfire hollowpoint. Specs are: traditional double and single action with decocker; internal firing pin block safety that permits firing only with the trigger pulled all the way; weight empty 28 oz; 8 shot magazine capacity / 8+1 round capacity; barrel length 3 ¾ inches; drift-windage adjustable front and rear black matte sights; steel guide rod and Sig braided recoil spring. These fine Sig P-6 pistols are historically significant for their service during the final decade of the Cold War in West Germany. Each one is also eminently serviceable and attractive for its peerless German Sig manufacture. Own one for only Mid - $300 Range.

Sig .40 P-229 Black Sts Siglite VG-Exc 1 Mag

Here is a black stainless Sig Arms model 229, caliber .40 S&W, that approaches Excellent Condition. It is in its original box, but has no manuals or papers. Its principal detraction is a moderate amount of holster contact scuffing atop the slide, as the photos show, and moderate slide contact on the exposed area of the barrel. It has factory night sights that are surprisingly strong. By our estimate they retain 70 – 75 percent of their original luminosity. This variant 229 has a magazine safety disconnector; that is, the magazine has to be in place for the pistol to fire. Magazine capacity is 12 round, yielded a maximum loaded capacity of 13 rounds. Barrel length is 3.9 inches, and the bore, chamber, and mechanism are all excellent. Weight is 32 oz empty. Magazine is LE marked, not legal in California, New York, or Massachusetts. Replacement price on these pistols in our area is over $900.00. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 529.95

Sig .40 P239 Black Stainless Exc in Box 2 Mags

Here is an excellent specimen of the most compact metal frame Sig on the market, the P239 slim-line 8 shot in .40 S&W with extra magazine, original box and warranty card. We traded this pistol from one of San Francisco’s finest who went to an even smaller pistol. It is in Excellent Condition, 90 to 95 percent finishwise by our estimate, but photos should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. It has only three or four tiny white pecks on the lower frame, one behind the hammer and one on the side of the trigger guard; and slight hints of weakness to the forward sharp edges of the slide and upper edges of the rear sights. It is Excellent and Clean throughout, and its factory night sights appear full strength by our inspection, at least 70-80 percent original strength. We don’t like to say which brand is the best pistol; but if we have to say, we usually say Sig. This one weighs in at only 17.7 ounces empty; barrel is 3.6 inches, overall height is 5 ¼ inches, length 6 ¾ inches; and slide thickness of less than 1 inch. Replacement price on this pistol in our area is currently upwards of $800.00. We’re offering this one, however, for only $ 619.95

Here is a black stainless Sig Arms model 229, caliber .40 S&W, that is in Very Good Condition. It is in its original box, but has no manuals or papers. Its principal detraction is a moderate amount of holster contact scuffing atop the slide, as the photos show; moderate amounts of holster contact buffing on the sharp edges of the slide and frame; contact wear to the grip screws; and moderate slide contact on the exposed area of the barrel. It has three dot factory sights that retain only negligible amount of luminosity from their original night sight status. Ortgies Deutsche Werk .25 Auto Good 1920s

From the word Germany neatly imprinted on the lower frame just forward of the serial number, this pistol was intended for export to the United States during the boom or bust days of the 1920s. This is a specimen of the Ortgies Patent Deutsche Werk Vest Pocket 6.35mm or .25 ACP caliber pistol manufactured in Erfurt, Germany from 1921 until 1928 only. It is a good quality all-steel hammerless, as the photos show. If it were in Excellent Condition, it would command a premium price. That is not, however, the case. This one has generous amounts of original bluing on its lower frame, but the slide his a brownish gray patina with light to moderate surface pitting that consigns it to no more than Good condition. It is entirely intact, and appears serviceable. Bore and chamber are Good to Very Good, and the magazine is factory Deutsche Work with the logo and has a good spring. Note the very nice condition of the original grips. We’re offering this solid little relic of the roaring 20s for only $ 139.95

One of the most common and persistent violations of Federal Law is the straw purchase. Never attempt to buy a gun for someone else under any circumstances. Even spouses buying for each other is tricky. We will not accept third party payment for firearms purchases. If you want to buy someone a present, buy something besides a firearm.
