Thanks for
looking over our inventory, and for those among our shoppers who have done
business with us in the past. We use NRA grading terminology and percentages of
the original finish remaining on the firearm in our descriptions. While firearm
grading is subjective like coin grading, we have tried to give ample closeup
photos of the firearms and tried to describe any detracting features of each
firearm in such a way as seller and buyer can be as clear as possible on the
merchandise’s condition. We include specific citations to Fjiestad’s Blue Book of Gun Values, published
annually by Krause Publications.
Please note that we
ship handguns for only $15 apiece, insured, USPS Priority Mail, to the lower 47
states. We also give a 2% discount for orders paid with USPS Money Orders, but
that doesn’t necessarily apply to purchases made through third party venues
such as Gun Broker, Auction Arms, etc.
For
those kind enough to offer to sell or trade us your guns, please bear in mind
that internet merchandising like we do it, one item at a time is very labor
intensive. Gun cleaning involves more labor than any other single factor,
because fewer than 1 out of 100 used guns we buy or trade for are clean. It
costs us about $50 to process a firearm, from the time it crosses our counter
into our possession until the time it is booked, cleaned, photographed, written
up, priced on our shelves and “out there” on the internet; by that time,
however, it is a very, very different item from what it was at home in
someone’s gun safe or closet.

Colt Officer’s Model Target .22 LR 6 in VG
1948

Serially numbered 52078, this Colt Officers Model Target Revolver in .22 caliber was, according to R.L. Wilson’s serialization, manufactured in 1948. We consider it to be in Good to Very Good Condition. It appears to be entirely original, even the right grip panel that is damaged on its butt area. It has extensive holster wear to its surface from carry in an unlined holster, most likely the one in the photo that came with it, a period Tru-Fit leather holster. From the looks of the cylinder face, this revolver has been carried, or stored, for a long time buy has actually undergone very little firing. It has a King windage adjustable rear sight and a factory elevation adjustable front sight. None of the screws show any stress indications. Frame and undersides have strong original bluing, and most of the holster wear, as the photos show, is on the cylinder surface and barrel sides. We rate this revolver at 70 percent finishwise, but have included sufficient photography for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves.
This revolver is Very Good to excellent mechanically. Lateral play or wobble effect to the cylinder is negligible with the trigger relaxed; and there is no movement when the trigger is pulled all the way. Cylinder timing is excellent on a brisk trigger pull, normal for I frame Colts. Pinging on the rear cylinder face is moderate, with pinging marks visible on the recess edges of four cylinder chamber recesses. Bore and cylinder chambers are bright, clean, and excellent. Blast effect to the under side of the frame topstrap directly above the forcing cone is negligible; we removed only a slight amount of lead buildup from that area.
This is a thoroughly respectable,
mechanically superior specimen of the Colt I Frame Revolver, same mechanism as
the Troopers and Pythons. Own it for only $

The only
lamentable thing about this Second Generation Colt Walker is that, while it has
its box, liners, and even plastic wrapper, it does not have its papers. We are
certain that this revolver has never been loaded or fired. It has been in the
same household since it was bought new some 15 years ago. Serial Number is
45xx, one of the latest of an exclusive run of US-made Walkers, made by Colt, in
the early 1990s, 3rd Series. Own it for

Note that this is not legally a
firearm for purposes of Federal Law. An FFL is required, however, for certain

The

One of the left
side closeup photos shows only grease and oil, not any kind of damage to the
frame. This revolver is still somewhat dirty; and there is some gummy residue
on the grips that the photos will show. We intend to have it clean soon. The
only finish detractions to this Cobra is some light rotation wear on the yoke,
some minor spotting on the unblued sides of the hammer; and light white
streaking on the sharp edges of the front sight. We consider this fine old
revolver to be in Excellent Condition, with 95 percent or more of its finish
intact. There is negligible stress indication to the left side screws, and no
indication of any stress on the right side plate screw. Serially numbered

Colt Police Positive
Special .38 Spl Blue 4 in VG Mfg 1946

This revolver was manufactured in the same year that many, many Veterans were returning to the West Tennessee Hills after serving their country. The problem for the next 15 years in this revolver’s domestic theater of operation was not getting its owner and his comrades to fight; the problem was getting them to quit fighting. This revolver spent its life among already tough, and even more battle-toughened young hillbillies in McNairy County near the Mississippi State line, an intensely violent area until one particular McNairy County Sheriff undertook to restore some order.
This
revolver has normal aging indications on its surface, strong original bluing
about 30 percent of whose surface is affected by spotting and toning, only a
small portion of which amounts to very light surface pitting. Grips have
near-full-strength checkering with some flattening and pecking on the lower
butt edges. Note the nice toning on the grip logos. We rate it as Very Good to
Excellent mechanically. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap
directly above the forcing cone is negligible. This revolver has been fired
very little, probably less than 100 rounds. Lateral movement or wobble effect
to the cylinder is minimal, with no more than 2mm total movement. Double action
pull is quite stiff, and the cylinder times at the hammer break, normal for
Colt Revolvers. Single action trigger pull is very light and crisp, and the
cylinder times into place resoundingly when the hammer reaches full stand in
single action. This is a very respectable Police Positive, even though it spent
its heyday in a not-so-respectable area of the

Colt 2000
All-American 9mm Exc in Box, X-Mag

This specimen is one of a brief
attempt in 1991 – 1993 for Colt to compete with Glock. According to the
Fjiestad Blue Book there were
problems with production, not with the gun’s design. While this is one of the
more common polymer frame All-American 2000s, the entire production run is
short and scarce. This one’s in its original box with total of 2 magazines,
instruction manual and even its cleaning toothbrush. The only detractions to
this pistol’s finish are some scuffs on its slide, visible in the photographs.
The right side has three scuffed areas with small white scuffs showing – near
the slide rear, forward of the slide grooves, and then near the slide’s muzzle
end where it recesses. Left side scuffing is confined to the rear of the slide.
We grade this pistol at Excellent 93 to 95 percent, but photos should show
enough detail for interested parties to grade finish for themselves. Specs for
the Colt 2000 are, by our measurements: Weight empty with magazine 28 5/8 oz.;
thickness at release lever 1.164 in; barrel length: 4.45 inches; height
including rear sight 5.745 in; overall slide length 7 9/16 inches. Own this
unique, rare Colt pistol, in Excellent condition with its original box for only $ 519.95

Interstate Shipments of Firearms can
go to Federally Licensed Dealers Only. Anyone who undertakes to purchase a
firearm must first of all be eligible to own one under State and Federal Law.
Disabilities from owning firearms include being under 21 for a handgun (or
pistol grip rifle or shotgun) or under 18 for a long gun; conviction, indictment
or information of a misdemeanor domestic violence or felony (it does not matter
if the person served jail time or not, the conviction or information suffices);
adjudication of a nervous disorder or disability; and non-citizenship in the
United States. If anyone who is not eligible to own a firearm attempts to
purchase one from us, we will assist law enforcement in that person’s
prosecution. If anyone attempts to aid and abet the acquisition of a firearm
from us for an ineligible person, we will assist in all involved parties’
prosecution. We have no intention of violating any laws. That is why we cannot

One of the most common and persistent violations of Federal Law is the straw purchase. Never attempt to buy a gun for someone else under any circumstances. Even spouses buying for each other is tricky. We will not accept third party payment for firearms purchases. If you want to buy someone a present, buy something besides a firearm.
If an unlicensed individual wishes to
purchase a firearm that we have advertised on a mail order, interstate basis,
he or she must do so legally through an FFL, a federally licensed dealer.
Dealers normally charge transfer fees. In our experience, the most readily
available transferors are Pawnbrokers and Gunsmiths. Please have transfer
logistics worked out before contacting us for a purchase. Thanks for your
interest. Law Enforcement officers may purchase a firearm through their
department only if it will be used on duty, and Department Letters and paperwork
from the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in the jurisdiction are required.
